This week, sports beards are the talk of the interwebs. With NFL training camps starting up and MLB trades going down, there’s a lot of beard growing, beard grooming, and sadly – beard loss. While Niles Paul has come back to reclaim his spot on the Washington Redskins with a gold grill and viking beard, Andrew Cashner recently had to shave his famous beard off due to his trade to the Miami Marlins.

And though we’ve seen just about every permutation of creative beard grooming out there, Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers’ wore a bleach-tipped goatee + straw hat combo to a press conference that totally caught us off guard.
