At Zeus, we’re advocates of living sustainably. So we dig the mission behind Apolis, a men’s lifestyle brand that empowers communities worldwide with fair-trade manufacturing. Apolis was started in 2004 by brothers Raan and Shea Parton, who grew up in Santa Barbara, CA. Together the brothers take care of every facet of the brand, with Raan as the creative director and Shea as the brand director and CEO.
The brand encompasses a finely curated, socially responsible collection of men’s tops, pants, swimwear, outerwear, accessories, and bags.

With a mantra of “advocacy through industry,” the brothers travel the world in search of skilled artisans. In the past they’ve partnered with Bangladesh women to weave vegan tote bags and a 50-person cooperative in Peru to sew alpaca beanies. They also enjoy working with small businesses – their Officer Shoe is made by a 100-year-old family-owned Portugal factory. While many materials are sourced worldwide, much of the manufacturing occurs within 10 miles of Apolis’ downtown Los Angeles offices, since Apolis loves to understand the process while supporting local businesses.
Each handmade, heritage-inspired piece comes with its own story – the Indigo Stripe Chore Jacket, for instance, is woven in Italy using two different indigo dyed wools for subtle color and texture variations. Fisheye buttons are sourced from fallen buffalo horns.

A blend of polished and casual, Apolis masters clothing that’s easy to pair together, even if you’re a “throw it on” kind of guy.
Situated in the heart of downtown LA’s Arts District, Apolis’ brick and mortar store is next to several hip coffee shops, stores, and restaurants if you’d like to make a full field trip out of your visit.
