Father's Day Activities Guide: From Playing Golf to Spa Days

Father's Day Activities Guide: From Playing Golf to Spa Days

Summer 2021 is starting to look like a good one — the world is slowly, but surely reopening and temperatures are starting to get warmer.

Because we’re able to go to more places now at this point in the pandemic, we at Zeus Beard decided to compile a list of activities you could do with the dads in your life this Father’s Day.

And if you’re thinking of getting your dad a present, be sure to stop by our store and hook him up with some beard or mustache care products.

Right now if you spend more than $50, you’ll receive a free beard bib on us. And if you spend more than $90, you’ll get the beard bib and a $20 Zeus Gift Card. And as always, you get free shipping on orders over $35.

Also, you can upgrade to priority shipping for free! The offer lasts until 2 p.m. on June 16, so don't lag on that Father's Day purchase.

Anyway, let’s get to planning out your Father’s Day weekend. Here are a few things you can do to celebrate them dads:

Play a Round of Golf

The golf scene has seen a huge boom during the pandemic — it was basically the only recreational sport people could play in 2020. People from all walks of life are now playing the sport and it’s a great time to get into it.

Nothing beats being on a tee box and shanking the ball into the rough or a completely different fairway — it happens to the best of us. But not to worry! You have a golf cart to zip around the course in to find your ball. Pair that with a few beers and you’ll turn your disastrous round into a memorable outing. You never know, someone just might sink a hole-in-one, and if you do, don’t forget to buy a round for everyone at the clubhouse.

Go Watch a Baseball / Basketball / Hockey Game

Those who can, do; those who can’t, end up watching someone better do it.

It’s a great time to go watch your favorite team play live, especially a baseball game as stadiums are beginning to reopen to fans. There’s nothing like sitting in the stands with a hot dog in hand waiting for an amazing play to happen.

If baseball isn’t your jam, and if you have the cash to spare, the NBA and NHL are well into their respective playoffs. There’s already been some great action happening — the Phoenix Suns crushed the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round and the Toronto Maple Leafs blew a 3-1 lead against the Montreal Canadiens also in the first round. If you live near any of the remaining teams in the NBA or NHL playoffs, definitely try catching an exciting playoff game.

Go Camping or Overlanding

Just like golf, camping and overlanding became really popular during the pandemic. For those who have never heard of overlanding, it’s off-roading with camping but the focus is on the adventure rather than the destination.

Many people used their stimulus checks on either buying an SUV or tuning their current truck to be more off-road capable, so Father’s Day would be a great time to go exploring and getting that car dirty. Overlanding is a great way to visit new places that you wouldn’t be able to otherwise if you just had a regular street vehicle. Trails can vary in difficulty, so make sure you do your research and make sure your vehicle and handle it — you don’t want to end up stranded in the middle of nowhere with no cell reception.

If overlanding is too extreme for you, there’s nothing wrong with finding a traditional campsite around you and camping out for a few days. Bring plenty of things to drink and eat, and maybe do some hiking while you’re out in the wilderness for a few days.

Throw a Tried-and-True Backyard Cookout

If you don’t want to get dusty while camping, then maybe an old-fashioned BBQ in the backyard is for you. You get to cook over a fire with a beer in hand while being outdoors — it’s like camping but just 10 feet away from your house.

You can play lawn games or some beer pong in the backyard while cooking food for the family and friends. It doesn’t get any more relaxing than that.

Have a Spa Day

Why should mothers and women get all the pampering? Dads and men deserve to be spoiled at a spa and feel rejuvenated.

Check your masculinity at the door, folks. Who wouldn’t want to spend time in a tranquil space where you can reset your body and mind? Escape from all the stress in your life for an hour or two by going to a spa — go get a deep tissue massage, a pedicure and a salt scrub. You’ll feel like a new human being.

Go Brewery Hopping / Whisky Tasting

If you’re fortunate to live in an area that has craft breweries, you should definitely make a day out of it and go brewery hopping.

Beer that you can get a supermarket or a specialty store is fine, but going to a brewery will unquestionably open your pallet to new and interesting beers that are made locally. And more often than naught, there will be different beers at the brewery the next time you go.

Or if you want to drink something a bit classier, try and find a whisky bar and do a tasting. It doesn’t hurt to check out what other types of whisky are out there.
