WHICH SHOULD YOU USE? ZEUS MEDIUM BEARD BRUSH VS. SMALL BEARD BRUSH

Our new Medium Boar Bristle Moustache and Beard Brush with Handle is a riff on our original Beard Brush with Handle. It’s bigger and denser, and you may be wondering which brush is best for your beard situation.

Here we lay it out for you, along with general usage tips.

Small Moustache and Beard Brush

Bristle Type: Firm first cut

Best For: Thicker, long beards and moustaches

Expertise: Firm first cut bristles more easily penetrate dense beards. The small size and handle mean this brush also doubles as a moustache brush – use it to train your moustache and to shape the ends.

Medium Beard Brush

Bristle Type: Medium first cut

Best For: Thinner beards or shorter beards

Expertise: Medium first cut bristles are slightly softer than the bristles on the Small Mustache and Beard Brush. An extra row of bristles, plus a denser distribution of bristles, offers even penetration. These bristles will also cover more surface area at once. A larger, ergonomic grip means a comfortable grip during extended periods of brushing.

General Tips

  • Use your beard shampoo, conditioner, and beard oil before brushing your beard with a brush. Using the brush at the end of your beard care routine will help distribute natural oils and beard oils for a soft, tidy beard.

  • After brushing through your beard, seal in the moisture and shape with beard balm.
